Where is Chat Window?
Chat Window is at bottom right of the screen.
How to start Chatting?
Click on chat input bar right bottom of Chat Window, waiting for a cursor to start key in message with keyboard at anytime. Or else, press the shortcut key “Enter” to enter chatting mode. During chatting mode, keyboard wills only response to chat purpose.
Switching Chat Channel
There is a button at the left of chat input bar, click it to show a popup menu. You may choose the channel you would like chat. For example: Select “Guild” if you want to voice in Guild. The more simple way will be using shortcut key “Tab” to switch channel, of course the character has to be under chatting mode. Besides, press “Alt+R” to whisper to the most recent person who whispers to you.
Select the Channel you would like to receive
There is a list of buttons, 6 in total, between the 2 chat window boxes, which represent corresponding channel messages. You are allowed to choose the channel you would like to “hear” by customizing at “System Setting”. For example, I prefer to know the conversation of my Guild and Corps, I would just tick “Guild” and “Corps”.
2 Chat Window Boxes Configuration
Chat Window on top will only show public messages, such as World Chat, System Announcement, Public Announcement, the fixed chat window; while the bottom chat window shows all types of message, player is allowed to customize the channel.
The copy of previous message
If you wish to copy your previous messages that you had sent in the chat input bar, just have to apply the shortcut key “up-arrow” and “down-arrow” to copy the previous messages you had sent under chatting mode, explicit rules are as below:
Under chatting mode, use the shortcut key “up-arrow” and “down-arrow” to get the previous messages you had sent shown at chat input bar (including prefix channel), the switching sequence will based on sending sequence.
You will have to alter the channel by using the “Switch channel” button in order to send the copied message copy by using direction keys (including prefix channel).
If the previous message is a whisper message, and the current chat channel is not under whisper mode or the whisper target is not same as the previous target, the input bar will only copy the prefix channel and target’s name without message content; so do the next copied message. Besides, all other circumstances will copy the whole message (including prefix channel).
Send Links
While under chatting mode, you may send different type of links:
Apply “Shift”+ Left click on item to copy the item name as link to chat input bar. Click the link on chat window will show the details of the item.
Apply “Shift”+ Left click on character name at Guild, Friends interface to copy the character name as link to chat input bar. Left click the link on chat window will whisper to the character; while right click it will pop up a menu for you to copy name, invite to become friend and other functions.
Apply “Ctrl”+ Left click on Trace Map to copy the coordinate of current location as link to chap input bar. Left click the link on chat window will start auto-path to the location.
Whisper Mode Auto Reply
Use the keys “Ctrl+R” to switch to “Auto Reply Whisper” mode. Under this mode, if other player send a whisper message to you, will auto reply with a default message. The auto reply message can be set at related page under “System Setting”.
Other Operations
Hold the left click by clicking the corner of chat window to modify the size of the chat window
Regulate the transparency of the chat window frame at Setting page
Lock the scroll bar of chat window, and also the size of the chat window
Clear all the messages on the screen
Set the link shows inside chat window not response to Left click
